My god what is taking so long.
GOG-Team come on !
The game has been out for like a year and a half now, waiting a few days is surely not particularly bad?

I don't mind waiting, but I was very much immersed in this game (I just started playing it a couple of months ago) when I encountered a gameplay crippling bug that didn't allow me to trade party members. This patch fixes that bug. So I've been waiting for this patch to resume playing the game.

Needless to say, I'm very excited for the patch and I feel the pain of others who are chomping at the bit.

I imagine the urgency would be much less for folks who already beat the game at least once.

Buying/installing this will fix this particular bug immediately. The bug itself exists because Obsidian's programmers are sometimes a bunch of baboons and didn't quite realize there can be people playing Pillars without expansion.

So Fenixp, are you ready to begin the inquisition against Obsidian ?
Or Gog, one of them are making a new record on delaying the patches.
New bug from the patch : when you save and load, the ennemies get weaker and weaker !
On 3.02 it's was : save and load = ennemies getting stronger and stronger : they get invicibles !

My god !

It appears to only be one location tho, and the bug is hardly critical considering it'll just make that location easier. In other words, it's fine - I don't think I know of a single RPG of this magnitude that would be without its bugs.
3.04 is out

Hi Fenixp, can you clarify a little about this specific bug ?

Well, from what I found on the Obsidian's discussion boards, during the attack on Stalwart quest, there's a stacking bug again - but it works in the opposite direction, it makes monsters weaker, not more powerful. That's not to say a similar bug didn't pop up somewhere else in the game and all it really tells me is that Obsidian was still not able to resolve the underlying problem causing it in the first place, but it's not as bad as monsters getting infinitely more powerful.
Finally the patch is here, and downloaded. Just a little warning, it took quite a while to apply it. I thought something had crashed, but noticed folder size kept increasing, with thousands of files. So be patient.

That is actually normal with Gog and their patches.
They are slow to apply, and sometimes seems their are frozen (the windows).

But yes, you need to be patient.

Do you know what are the beta fixes?

Beta Fixes

Kraken DR raised from 0 to 8
Sul attacking her own pride during 'The Old Queen and the New King'
Fixed an issue with Cliant Lis traps not functioning
The Unlabored Blade Firebug proc now functions correctly
Breath VFX originating from adventurers hand
Tooltip for Sabre +20% no longer shows 'missing item mod 468'
Nyry the Deft Hand now grants Cape of the Cheat in the base game.
Corected an issue where characters sometimes gets stuck in Elmshore adra pillar.
Stun on crit weapon mod duration is now affected by graze/hit/crit attacks.
Party AI no longer chases after undiscovered enemies.
Chanter, One Dozen Stood... phrase now reduces the Frightened and Terrified status .
Fighter, Clear Out no longer causes Blights to stop attacking.
I'm assuming they are changes and are waiting to see the reactions of the players (But then, that was the benefit of Steam).

Beta fixes are fixes made when the patch was released as a beta, which only was available on Steam. So all of those are contained in the GOG's version.
Somewhat strange experience here:
Just installed 3.04, started the game - massive graphical glitches, every particle effect and some textures just produced pink squares.
Started GOG Galaxy, says Update available - allegedly 230MB, checks the files - starts 1.5GB download.

Hope the game works again afterwards, otherwise I'll have to reinstall it...

Edit: Seem I was lucky, it's working correctly again now...

Edit: Silly me, I probably just forgot to patch the DLC...
