Any Ideas how to make Loading times shorter? I have only 4 saves (3 auto and one quick-save) so it is not the savegames bloat, but my game loading times are insanely high - over 30 seconds per map. It makes playing game not as good as it could be. On my older netbook saves were much shorter despite the fact that it had much weaker hardware configuration than my new one.

Unfortunately I don't think there is much that can be done. It is simply a problem with the game, and it gets worse the longer into the game you are. Having the game on a SSD should help I would think, and having few saves (like you do), but other than that I haven't seen any clear advice that could alleviate the situation. We can only hope they do a much better job on this issue on PoE2.
I was actually wondering if it was just my imagination or the loading times are long. Long loading times are really frustrating when you want to quickly check a few location and do spoil the gameplay...

I remember that this was somewhat an issue in BG1, unless you had a full installation which at that time was really huge in terms of space requirement. However, somehow it was not so bad as the game would load very fast when you re-enter areas you have recently visited or if you enter smaller areas within the larger maps (houses, caves etc.). But in PoE it seems that the loading times are long regardless.

Yeah, I love this game but the long loading times are really annoying.
Especially if you want to sleep in your fortress : Entering the fortress, entering the inn, going to the second floor, sleep, then get out the same way...

YEY! I'm not the only one who didn't figure that you don't need to go to the inn to sleep!

You can use a fast shortcut to sleep in any place of your keep.

Isn't this messy? :D

Glad I accidentally found out about that 'trick'. Would be pretty annoying to go through a handful of loading screens just to sleep. But similar stuff happens often enough anyway, when you travel to a map to meet somebody in a house somewhere, then back to meet somebody else in another house. So much wasted time staring at loading screens.

Originally you did have to go to Brighthollow to sleep - players complained about the loading times and they added the ability to use 'rest' anywhere in the keep. Not sure which patch changed it.
I'll take a load time over the busted mess that is BGEE quest lines... so far the times have all been about the same

The loading times really irritated me in Defiance Bay as there you have to run from building to building across different locations quite often to finish quests. It really felt like 50% of my game time was spent looking at the loading screen. Once I left the city think where somewhat better.

Stopped playing BG:EE long time ago and not planning to look back. I own classic editions and I'm happy with them.
Don't understand why people bought BG:Bugs edition. We all knew it was a cash grab.

That long loading times are pretty annoying though, especially when going from house to house and from location to location. Like stated above, it really felt like half the playtime was me staring at the loading screen, and I started to plan for how to reduce it. That's not a good place to be for an otherwise very good game.

I know what you mean. I also started to think how to optimize my quests to reduce amount of loading screen. Unfortunately, this does spoil the gameplay and breaks immersion..
