this game has some seriously long load times..

I thought I was going to fall asleep loading it the first time, and then it took so long i didn't want to play it..

it took ALMOST 5 minutes to load the first screen on the first load..
is this normal?

I do wish this could be fixed as it is one huge game immersion killer as well as being incredibly frustrating!

you know, the second time it was loaded it wasn't that long, maybe 60 seconds, but that first load is bad.
seems normal now.

how many configurations does it create at first load?
it has to be some kind of process that causes that load time.

it was quick enough this time that it might be workable, i have hopes anyways.
time to take a look i guess.

ahh, I read the thread.. seems about what I am going through here too, at least i know it is only going to get worse as i go..

what happened to the good old days when it didn't take 6 gigs to make a frpg.
I am considering Icewind Dale again personally, I'm bored.
