They are hoping to release patch 1.03 this week. "Hoping", mind you.
I don't think the patch will be released very soon, because they surely want to fix more than one bug. I expect the patch at the end of the week and integrated by GOG during next week.

Completely agree. :D Would be the first time that GOG has a patch out this fast, it's Obsidian release + 2 days. Hoping I'm wrong. :)

I hope I don't need to download the entire 6GB again, remove the game, and re-install it each time it is updated. It would be nice if GOG would provide a separate patch, that upgrades an already installed version to the latest, and also update the main game installer so people who are starting fresh will have the latest version immediately.

If Obsidian puts the patch online, in a separate installer as well, could we install it from there as well?
@Katsunami

Providing you speak of the Windows version, then GOG will provide the patch and an updated install. You are new to GOG?

That's exactly what I experienced with GOG. Just noticed that sometimes, when games get older, they remove the patches and just provide a current installer. So this would only be a problem for people who install a game after release and then don't check in with GOG for a year or so. Then they would have to download the whole game again.
At least that's how it's done for the Windows versions. I have to admit I never check the other versions.
Well, I installed the game with the Galaxy client, so I hope the automatic update will work :D

No, I'm not new to GOG, but it is the first time I've bought a game here (almost) on release date. All games I've bought here were out for at least a few years; The Witcher 2 was the only exception. I didn't play that game for months after purchase though, so when I started, I just (re)downloaded and installed the latest version.

The only updates I have ever experienced were when GOG switched to the new version 2.0 installer.

The workaround for the double clicking an inventory item seems to be to get rid of your companion at your keep, castle, whatever it is then re-invite them. Just read that on the Obsidian forums. I haven't gotten far enough to where I have a keep yet though. I also didn't double click anything thank goodness. I was totally being nostalgic with the game and just dragging and dropping everything :D

I'm pretty new here so that's nice to know. TY for the info :) I was wondering how it would show up. I guess in my library I just click on the game and it'll be somewhere underneath the installer or manual or something?

@Necro: Yes, exactly. On a good day, at the bar across the top, where it says "ACCOUNT" there might be a number after it. This number represents things in your library you need to take a look at. Things like new games you've bought but never clicked on, and things like new patches that just came out on your games. Then if you go to your account screen, the game should (again: on a good day) say "updated". If you then click on that game, you should see a patch available for download.

I say "on a good day" because there have been some times when there were new patches that did not trigger the warning notes.
I wanted to have a look at the list of completed or failed quests, but I can't find it in the journal. Am I missing something?

PS Sorry, that was supposed to be a new topic :)

Well since it's here, I'll answer it.
All quests show up in your journal.
The completed or failed ones are greyed out and listed under the same area they were, when they were active. ;-)
Oh I remember good old times when patches for Fallout made your save games complete waste :)

So far there are too much tiny yet annoying bugs in Pillars of Eternity. I hope Obsidian won't mess next patch

Thanks for the answer. The reason I asked is that when I first entered the stronghold area, during a fight with some minor monsters, suddenly I got a notification that the quest "Two-sided" failed. I looked at the journal and couldn't find it, grey or not. I loaded the last saved game, opened the journal and couldn't find that quest either. In some walkthrough I read that this quest begins in Copperlane Catacombs where my party haven't been yet. Perhaps it was a bug then.
