The Royal Edition is $18 more currently on sale. The main thing i would be interested in is the novella but i'm not really sure it's worth the extra $18 when i could spend that on another game or two.

Haven't read the novella yet.
However, there are more items included than just the novella. I bought the Royal Edition mainly because of the cookbook(and the game, of course :D), since I want to learn how to cook. I have tried only the Rauatai Cookies yet, but they were delicious. In my opinion, it's worth it.
