An updated Linux version is now online
So… complete download instead of an archive with just updated files? Damn.

Yeah. Downloading it now. There is some issue with this game and lgogdownloader. That's the command I had to use to work around it:

lgogdownloader --no-platform-detection --platform 4 --download --game pillars_of_eternity

I don't like however how GOG usually produce tarball patches. They intend you to either run the installer script, or to take only the data part. You can't just copy the whole thing over.

Well that was expected, as it's this way with every Linux game here on GOG.

We can only hope that one developer has mercy with us and provides unofficial Linux patches, like in Wasteland.

No need to wait for a developer, tonurics from inXile taught me how to build such patches, and you can find them there:

Really... we're not suppose to just extract the tarball to a folder and run it from there to play it? We're suppose to somehow make our own installer script? I'm a relatively new Linux user... I don't understand how to do that, and I have never found an installer in the files. I just extract it and play. I had a lot of fiddling to do to get it to let me put it's icon on the desktop and or panel... had to switch desktops to make it easier. It makes me feel like GOG staff only care about the Windows version and only provide a Linux version just because people want it, but that's as far as it goes - no proper packaging. I had complained about this somewhere else. I feel like they're just being lazy about it. When they could make it as an installer, and provider the patch as an installer separately... I don't get why they do it the way they do. That's the only thing I don't like about them.

If you use a distribution based on the APT package manager (Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.), you might be interested by the scripts I wrote. They are intended to build a .deb package from the .tar.gz archive, automating the process of adding menu entries and such stuff.
You can find them in the following thread:

I'm confused by those version numbers!

The official patch should be called 1.03 . The game I downloaded on the day of release has this filename:
gog_pillars_of_eternity_1.0.0.1.tar.gz

Today I checked gog for nev versions, and I see:
Tarball archive 1.1.0.2

Is this equivalent to the patch 1.03 ??? Should I wait more for the proper patch ?

Yes, it is the 1.03 patch (including the two hotfixes).
You can get the game "real" version in the start.sh file included in the .tar.gz archive.
After installing this new version, I'm running into problems that haven't been in the old version:

-The movies, which are played when taking a rest, are not running anymore. All I see is a black screen.
-Texture corruption occurs when I level up a character, the HUD-portrait of the companion that was leveled up is suddenly in a very bad quality.
-The scroll that opens on the upper-left corner of the screen, when a quest has been updated, doesn't close properly and stays there until I enter a new area.

Am I the only one with this new bugs?

On the other hand, the only bug that I noticed in the old version, is still there: All merchants which grant you a discount, because you helped them with something, have ridiculously high selling and buying prices.

1.1.0.2 is the version of the tarball, not the version of the game inside it. Unfortunately GOG doesn't put game version in the file name.

By the way, feel free to use the community bug tracker I created (unofficial): https://github.com/PoE-unofficial/Pillars-of-Eternity-bugtracker

Link your bug to Obsidian support forum however, because that bug tracker didn't get traction yet:
