Hello all, I recently leveled up and selected some level two chants with Kana, but I can't for the life of me work out how to select them so I can use them!

Any assistance would be most appreciated. :)

All right, do you know of the Edit Chants button? This one? It allows you to - well - Edit chants, shockingly enough :-P You'll get presented with a screen for editing chants. On the left side, you can see a list of phrases which are known to you. On the right side, there are 4 chants marked a to d. By selecting a chant (just click on a letter) and clicking on a phrase on the left side, you'll get to add phrases to a chant. Click on a chant in a phrase to remove it. Select which phrases you want to be used in a chant and close the screen.

Now, when you select a chanter, you'll see all the chants you have created in the character bar - pick one, and once combat starts, your chanter will start chanting phrases in the order you have picked on the editing screen.
There are MANY options and strategies on them - choose ones that compliment each other (in the same chant) to maximize the effects. The order you put them in, etc. For instance, if you have a mostly melee team like I do, often you want to take out the wizards, priests and archers first but they are in the back lines, causing you to take lots of disengagement damage while trying to run your party through the mob to get to them.

Well, there's a chant for that.

You can create a chant that 1st gives allies +15 defense against disengagement, and then increases their speed +1 - or you could put those in the reverse order. Also, you can substitute the + speed chant part for one that lowers the enemies' chance to hit by 5% or whatever that one is. Or you can have all 3 in the same chant.

The 4 chants you can create are at the bar above that characters portrait after clicking on it. They are modal, so once you click on it will always be active during battle. To edit any of the 4 chants just right click it on that bar.

On level up you get to choose new "chant spells", or whatever they are called (hymns?), that you can then use to put into a full chant with other hymn/spell/things. There are so many different combos that you can create it makes this a pretty powerful class.

Anyways, mess with it awhile and you'll get the hang of it.
There's some bug such that there is not Edit chants button. I'm up to level 7, still can't change or create new chants.
