Re-downloading the files worked for me. This time around installation took about 26 - 30 minutes (by comparison, it spent longer than that frozen at around 10% before).

Yeah i have had all the same problems, as above- after re-downloading the files- it started installing, got to 10% quickly, then slowed right up, be patient, it is working! Since typing this it has moved up to about 20%

I'll just add that I thought something had gone wrong, but it turns out the installer just takes an abnormally long time to show progress.

thanks guys, i finally got it installed. had to restart it and then waited 45 minutes. took forever but its up and running now! =)

I am now into my 5th hour of trying to install this. I've tried re-downloading files, tried being patient for 2+ hours (each set of files went through the integrity check)... Help?

The installer seems to be working (it creates files in the directory, is how I can tell) and one of my CPU cores is constantly at 100%, if this information helps in any way. The current installation try has been running for over an hour, has created more than 9000 files in the directory, amounting to 920 MB.

EDIT:

I tried disabling my antivirus software and the issue was resolved. To anyone having similar problems: try disabling your antivirus software!
