in case any dev sees this I'd like to see an option for fog of war. I don't like how the map goes nearly black for areas you've been to before. I understand not seeing enemies or npcs still there but I have to do it all on the map screen. I'd like to scroll around and see an area I remembered wanting to explore again and not have to click for the map screen. something like Baldur's gate/Iwd/torment etc.

I know it's small and petty. what I'd like is an option for players to customize this aspect to their own liking. not sure how much work this entails since I'm no programmer. thanks if you see this and at least give it consideration.

if I've somehow missed this and it is already available let me know. I appreciate it.


but really...I'm about 20 hours in and am having so much fun. thanks to the team and the backers for making this happen.

I know they lightened the FOW in one of the patches. If it bothers you overly, you can always remove it on maps you have been to, by opening the console and typing:

NoFog

I bought the game here when 1.03 came out. that's pretty wild if it was darker before. during the daytime you can make out certain areas but it's still very dark. it's not something that's ruining my gaming experience but it would be really nice if we could choose....no fog at all (ew I wouldn't want this myself!)....or fog only hides npc/enemies in areas you've been... or vanilla full fog.

Try adjusting your gamma setting, go to Options -> Graphics and turn the Gamma slider all the way to the right. Ajust from there to your liking.
