So as far as i read and see the main roblem with 1h weapons are enemies with high DR. I checked 1 handed weapons with DR Bypass and there are Maces and stilettos. But if i can enchant with DR they may not be the best. Or if possible i may enchant mace/stilletto with rending to get 6 DR bypass?. I am not sure base 3 base DR reduction is worth considering them.

Also i think elemental damage enchantments also bypass DR like burning lash or freezing lash. But since those elemental damages depend on physical damage hits and elemental damage applies after DR on physical hits they are lowered also. In practice i can't be sure how much extra damage they can do. Better then solid 3-6 DR bypass?

I am also considering the highest base damage 1 handed weapon which are sabres. If i chose any of these mentioned i will have to chose 1 weapon focus, so with sabres its weapon focus: ruffian. With this weapon focus, to have different type of attacks i would go with sabre/stiletto combo but seeing stillettos how very ow base damage i can't really be sure.

Lastly i would like to ask, how does enchanting work on unique weapons. They already have enchantments on them, can i enchant them further?

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure of the rest of it, but I can answer the unique enchant question: you CAN enchant unique weapons. The same enchanting restrictions apply to unique items as to regular items. Uniques have their own special enchantments that are not available through crafting. I think whether or not these unique enchants count against the 12 anvil limit varies. It seems like they generally do, but they're cheaper, as it were. Uniques will usually have a quality enchant, and those are upgradable just like with non-uniques (so if you have a unique with 'Fine', you can upgrade it later to 'Exceptional' assuming you have the anvils available). However, if the weapon already has a secondary or slaying enchant, you can't change or remove it.

*You can enchant other unique items that you can enchant through crafting, too.

The DR bypass value is not possible to enchant, however as Alyosha said, there are unique weapons that can have different values than the standard ones.
The weapon focus only increases accuracy, if you are using only the one hand type combat , you can sacrifice as they already gives a bonus.

A lot of damage by hit is the best way to bypass DR, at least the enemy have more than 24 for the type(s) of damage(s), so if you are a barbarian maybe a two-hand weapon is better.

P.d. don't know if the barbarian has a feat similar to fighter which can increase damage of the same groups than weapon focus.
