shizus_req: I've downloaded the backup installer files for PoE 1 (base game, expansions, and patches), but I still need to download about 6gigs of dlc content through the Galaxy client. Are the installers outdated?
Since GoG doesn't have a tool to backup installed games, I like to use the backup installers but it seems pretty pointless if I still need to download that much.
Sarafan: Are you sure that you've installed the base game and expansions properly? Don't install any of the patches. They're already implemented. Just run the installer for base PoE, an then The White March 1 and 2. And that's all.
Thanks for the response. Yeah, I actually installed the base game and the two expansions (1 then 2) with the idea that the Galaxy client would patch the rest, since the rest of the updates are pretty small. After installation however it appeared that only one out of the four dlcs were registered.
Galaxy discovered the files for the first and last dlc with no problem, but the two dlcs starting with 14**** (still downloading so can't check the exact code) had to be downloaded. I stopped the download and got all the updates, but like you said they all gave me either a "your game is up to date" or "you have a newer version" message. I reinstalled the expansions in order, but I still had to download the dlcs through the client.
