I hate when games accumulate a lot of autosaves; I prefer to just stick to my own save when and where I want to. Any way to stop autosaves so I'm not having to delete them all the time?

No, not without a mod, though I doubt they have been updated to the current patch. You might try IE Mod over at the Nexus.
