I have POE on Steam but lately I've been trying to support other platforms (and especially GoG when possible). I'd rather not completely rebuy POE on GoG to save money (yay, college), but is it possible to purchase the expansions on GoG and would they read the base game files or...?

The expansions will not recognise a Steam installation, no.
