I got what I think is the "good" ending (choosing not to use the god power). Yet at the end the architects are seen conferring that everything is going "according to plan".

I watched the "bad" (original) ending on Youtube and it did seem fairly nasty, being stuck in that endless void and all.

So what really happened?
