I just wanted to know if there is the possibility to play the game in 1024x600 on a netbook?

And is a netbook (1.6GHz, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA 3150) fast enough to play the game? I know that its probably ok, but perhaps there is someone that can tell us something about performance issues.

The background: I'm just buying games on gog if there is a widescreen patch because I'm only playing those games on my netbook (on the train, bus,...) and the screen is already tiny...

My netbook is weaker than yours (less ram), and it's running the game perfectly (as I can tell from 5 minutes of playing). There were no problems from resolution (even though I don't really know the resolution of the game).
I think Pharaoh hast 800x600 or 1024x768... So you're playing with black borders left and right?

Good to know that the game works well.

I just checked it, it has 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768. I'm running it at 800x600, and I do not have any black borders. Here's a screenshot.

Whether you have borders or not depends on your scaling settings (usually found uder GPU configuration) not the game itself.
That's right, but I think, it's more important to play the game with correct ratio aspects rather than stretched with black borders. 800x600 or 1024x768 on a 1024x600 device (or widescreen displays with higher resolutions) is not that good.
