I have an issue that I think is a bug, but I'm not sure--my soldiers seem to disappear after a battle, but they weren't killed.
For example, if I have a full squad of infantry and a full squad of archers, and they vastly outnumber the poor Bedouin raiders, I'll put them on mop up and then send them back to the fort after. I know they didn't take battle casualties because when I open the window to click the "return to fort" button, they are still at 16, and at that point all the enemies are dead. Later, when I look at the fort, I've lost several (say, 5) infantry and one or two archers. I have no idea what's going on.
Are they going to the academy? (Don't think so, they never come back.) Do they later succumb to wounds from battle? Do they just die of old age or wander off looking for glory? I don't know!
It seems to only happen with the mop-up command, but I need to check that more carefully.
