Hi, just got to a mission in which food is quite hard to farm for yourself so you have to rely on trade routes to import it. However, I've tried playing around with setting import amounts as well as asking the overseer to sort out provisions himself but whenever i see trade caravans or ships coming in to trade they leave disappointed because apparently i have nothing to trade even though i've requested them to sell me as much food as they can (also i have plenty of money so this is not the issue)

Also, i've made sure that the food stocks are not set to stockpiling yet my granaries still remain empty besides the small amounts i farm for myself.

It works for importing bricks so i don't know if it's just a bug regarding food imports? Or maybe there's something i'm doing wrong, either way any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Tom

EDIT: realised right after posting this that traders go to warehouses rather than granaries to deliver food, and all mine were full of industrial materials, building warehouses to accept only these foods fixed this!

Since you marked this thread as a support thread, I'll just post the solution you just gave so you can mark something as best answer.

Like you said, food imports must go to a storage yard. They don't need to be taken to a granary for consumption though, unless the food you are importing can also be produced locally.
