Are there any plans on relasing the different language versions of this?

I remember loving the swedish version as it was voiced by the main swedish tv-science guy.
As if it would have been voiced by morgan freeman in english.
I hope someone sits down and pushes out more languages for all the different classical games.
Translations are impossible to perform on these games. They have been compiled using a compiler that doesn't exist any more and was never distributed by Sierra for people to make translations. If you want to translate, you have to use a hex editor, but it's very difficult to do it without breaking the game.

The only way translations appear is if someone takes the time to create a program that can decompile the game files and compile them again in a way that can be edited. So you'll be waiting forever for that to happen.

You can replace the files with the corresponding translated files. But yeah, it kinda brakes the menus. Each version of the game seems to be hardcoded for each language. The soundfiles works perfectly fine though as they don't need to be synced really. Nothing fancy there that needs to be rewritten.

A bit off-topic, but: who's the main Swedish tv-science guy? I'm learning Swedish and would love to check him out. (Even if it's old stuff)
the narrator for the campaign is Hans Villius, he was a very famous tv personality and Voice Actor, he made voice overs not only for Pharaoh but also Ceasar III and a trailer to Gears of War 3 in 2012 which also he passed away at the age of 88.

i really would appreicate swedish versions of both Pharaoh and Ceasar III as these games has a very special place in my heart.

I would gladly pay 60-80 euros for swedish only versions of Pharaoh Gold and Ceasar III, if it meant i could play the games of my childhood in my native tongue.
Getting the Swedish version of Pharaoh + Queen of the Nile on GoG would be so nice. I also remember Hans Villius' voice narrating the game. :D Like people already mentioned, uploading these old localized versions is totally do-able. Let's hope the GoG staff can investigate this.
