I am playing the last "peaceful" mission of the base game. I try to sell as much papyrus, bricks and later wood as I can but lack money. So do you have any tips how to boost my income?

Which City?
This sounds like Hetepsenusret, but I cannot be sure. In Hetep, you have to max out sales of Papyrus to Dakhla Oasis as early as possible to get enough money. They only buy 2500 sheets per year, so make sure that you have that amount to sell, as 3 trade caravans will come from that city. If you can get Ra on side early on, he will have a chance to increase trade quotas temporarily, so Dakhla can temporarily buy 4000 sheets.

As soon as you can, you must also expand your housing and tax your citizens to boost the income more. Make sure your city is stable before growing it, and take your time to expand. Rushing your expansion will result in failure, so build slowly and evolve housing quickly.

Yeah, I restarted the level and placed my papayrus industry better to produce more of it and make it also more accesible to the main road. That helped immensely in the beginning with the income.
