I'm running it on windows 7 64 bit. All drivers are updated.
I can play the game, but whenever there is a video it wont play. The video will freeze, and then the audio will play fine like the video is running. I can skip past it and play, but only up to an hour. I've messed around with the compatibility settings, and I still get the same results. Anyone have suggestions on remedying this?

Are you playing from the GOG download or from the CD, the cd version isn't compatible for win7, but I didn't have any problems playing the actual game yet, via gog's version (played for about an hour. usually crashed in 30 min via cd).
also I know on the CD that the videos caused an instant crash, so it's better to be able to skip 'em imop, then risk a crash.
sorry, I can't help
I'm playing the downloaded one from GOG. I got the game to quit crashing every other hour, but the videos still wont play. It still plays the audio with a frozen frame from the video. Occasionally I'll get a strip on the screen that will show moving parts of the video, but the majority of the time it's just a frozen frame.
I know it's not exactly an answer, but videos are particularly unimportant in this game. They're ugly and deliver no information whatsoever. So, don't worry as long as the game is working: you're not missing anything.

I know they don't have any significant importance to the storyline, but I'd still like to view them. When the game originally released back in the day I only had the demo. My dad wasn't too impressed with the game and didn't purchase the full version, so the demo was all I had. I'd just like to see all the game has to offer. :) Even if the videos are shoddy at best. :P

I've had the same problem with other GOG titles using Miles sound system, and (permanently) changing the the game's executable to use only one core fixed it. Details can be found in my other post in this forum. I hope it fixes your problem; while the movies might not be essential or even informative, they add to the experience.
