I am running Pharaoh on my laptop (Win 7) and the game always uses quite an excessive amount of CPU time.

Is it possible to reduce or limit the CPU cycles? The laptop is getting pretty hot, to the point that the BIOS kicks in and slows the game down to an unplayable (slow / laggy) pace or shuts down the machine altogether.

There is a Pharaoh.ini which has a value "CPU" set to 2810, but I am not quite sure what that number represents.
