When I put a gold mine down in the game, someone is only in it for a little bit until the gold mine crashes. I have to put a new one down but when I do, no one ever goes in it and mines. It happened on my old computer too. So I run out of gold and money and cannot complete the game!! I dont know how to fix this and if its something wrong with the game or something Im doing wrong

Do you know you need working engineer next to a building to not make them crash?
Also mines are sometimes srcripted to cave-in from time to time on some maps and there is nothing you can do about it htan rebuild.
But you get message when it happens.

For building to work it has to have housing in walking distance or it won't get worked. Even 1 house is sufficient for whole mining colony but there needs to be some. Are you sure you are providing it? You can observe the walker emerging from mine and see if he passes any houses.

Have you actually played the tutorial missions, which explain how to mine gold, have them staffed and prevent them from collapsing? Or is this happening in the tutorial missions and you just aren't reading any of the briefing or informational messages provided?
