For some reason my carpenters are not getting/receiving materials to build the monument at Abu Simbel. I have wood, I'm fully staffed and the buildings have proper road access. The stonemasons are already to go but the carpenters are just MIA. Is this a glitch? Suggestions? Thanks for any help.

Try destroying all of the guilds (stonemasons and carpenters) and make sure they're built near the monument (ie they're not having to go across the required ferry). Since the monument requires no resources, other than wood imports, you can also try deleting and rebuilding the monument, in case it's corrupted.

Additionally, given the staging area is in a section of the map that is quite narrow, make sure you haven't unintentionally blocked access. This is quite easy to do on the Abu Simbel map.
I am going to replay the mission and will try your suggestions if it comes up again. I had already tried deleting the carpenters but not the stonemasons. I had past issues with hunting lodges not working and that did help then. The monument was accessible and they did not need to cross on the ferry. I had not though of deleting the monument. Thank you for your response.

Update: I tried continuing my saved game with your suggestions to no avail. While I have not completed the scenario, my replay is now working. A couple things I did differently: 1) I did not hide the cliffs to place my sandstone mines; 2) I moved the monument one grid block to the left; 3) I built my transport wharves before I placed the carpenters hoping wood would then be dedicated; 4) I did not place my stonemasons until the carpenters started working; 5) I made absolutely sure there was nothing blocking the monument, making sure to leave one grid space open along the entire length of the monument. I don't know if any of these things made a difference but in case someone else comes up with the same problem perhaps the info can help. Thanks Shakaku for your suggestions.
