I know that this question was asked before, but I don't see any solution to it that actually works so I'm gonna ask again in hopes that someone encountered and fixed it since.

My game broke recently and none of the buildings is showing the animations or even flags above the buildings indicating that they are active.

Uninstalling the game did not help.
Removing every single file my PC has on the game did not help either.


Also, separate issue. I specifically told GOG not to sync up save files with the cloud and yet whenever I install the game, it always has my last profile saved. How do I make the installer not do that?

Animation failed, Sprites glitch
(missing icons, flags do not appear, buildings freezes/empty, never indicate)

There is a glitch in the entire Caesar3 + Pharaoh + Zeus + Emperor series where (suddenly!) Building Animation stops working

It's impossible to play without Building Animation, you can't see if the Building works or not.
Usually a REBOOT helps. In general, Reboot, or wait another 24 days :D

Most laptops are set to Sleep and Hibernate by default.
Not surprisingly, the problem has escalated, because Shutdown has become a rarity.
