1. Is there a way to build monuments faster? I just finished the scenario where I had to build a small stepped Pyramid & a bigger one that attached to water. It took me 65 in game years to complete, most of my time was just at 100% speed waiting for this damn thing to finish. I had maybe 12 Plain Stone Quaries, 6 Work Camps, maybe 6 Stone Mason Guilds & 5 Carpenter's.

2. Why does the game sometimes say my food levels are low when I'm trying to build houses yet the overview thingy says I make enough food for 'x' amount of people ('x' being a few thousand higher than my population).

3. If I have the ability to make Infantry are Archers worthless? I try to have a mix of Archers/Infantry so that the infantry can fight in front & the Archers can do free damage from behind. The Archers mostly just die & end up badly shaken morale & such & always stay at Green, meanwhile my Infantry advanced all the way to Elite & just kept cleaning up armies easy peasy.

Thanks!

1 Faster Pyramid Construction--- note: "All types of Pyramid (brick, stepped, bent, and regular) and Mastabas can now be built more rapidly if you pay devoted homage to the gods in a mission. In missions where Pyramids or Mastabas are present, any blessing from one of the five gods may be converted into a boost to the early stages of your monument construction project. Select whether or not you wish to play with this feature by using the "Pyramid Speedup" entry on the Options menu."
But it still takes time. People often work on other things while the Pyramids are completed. (Me, for example)

One number is production, the other storage. I actually overproduce because the Pharaoh often asks for food. The faster in answering the better for your Rep. But I generally start with five units of production (farm, fish, whatever) and play it by ear after that. (Note, have a warehouse for the food, then set the storage complex to "get" from the adjacent warehouse. The field hands will go the warehouse immediately and get off the flood plains. But they will wait on the flood plains for an opening in the Storage building. This can have a bad outcome.)

3 I use Archers to attack the enemy to lead them to my phalanx. Archers move more quickly. Then I move the Archers behind the phalanx to continue the attack. But if the enemy infantry gets them, they are goners.
