As we know, the artwork of the new Pharaoh, although beautiful on paper (in this case, literally, as inside an artwork book) in my opinion looks worse ingame, for various reasons. The main reason being that since it's flatter, it does not look as perceivable than the artwork of the original Pharaoh. Specially when you zoom out, things start to look all the same.

I though a little bit about this and the easiest way of adding depth to the images is by applying a bevel effect on them.
Ideally, one could do that by editing each image (using gimp, for instance) and apply a bevel on it. Since this is a lot of work, because the images are unity assets, i came up with the second (lazy) best solution: a reshade preset.

This reshade is basically a combination of image sharpening and image emboss. I also added a LUT color correction, because i think the original colors are too bright. This can be disabled on reshade, of course (press HOME key and uncheck "LUT" on the list of active effects).

Here is the result (better view in full screen):

How to install
============

1) install reshade (https://reshade.me/) and apply the DX10 wrapper to the game executable (Pharaoh.exe)
2) Unpack the following file to the game's main folder. https://tinyurl.com/5n8f6a45
3) Run the game and have fun!
