I would like to purchase this game, as this looks VERY interesting, but had some simple questions first. If anyone has purchased it, would you be able to answer the following:

1: From the gameplay I have seen online, this does not appear to be a first person shooter. Is that correct? I do not often play FPS, so just wanted to be sure.

2: There appears to be a 360 rotational camera, with a top down view. Can that view be changed to look around in a room or corners?

3: When looking for documents or items of interest, is it open every drawer, closet, and door similar to the Tex Murphy games, or can a hotkey be used to highlight items of interest as in some RPGs?

4: Some are reporting bugs, but it also appears the developer is active on here addressing them. Very nice of them to do so.

5: Where are saved games kept for NON Galaxy users? Are they locally, or is an internet connection required. In reading some of the reviews on the purchased games, it seemed to have conflicting information.

Edit: Added question five based off some reviews I saw.

This question / problem has been solved by armitomimage
1)It a turn-based game, you make a certain number of moves, once you are done with them, the enemies make their own moves etc, there is a focus on stealth, but you are free to go guns blazing if you have the skill/equipment, there is also a base management system where you can send your spies on missions, built equipment, decrypt intel, brainwash captured enemy agents and more

2) The camera is rotational, you can zoom in, you can change floors when in buildings, you have the freedom to move it anywhere in the map you want however it does not "detach" to freely move it around corners and vertically

3)The items are always highlighted, loot is purple, and documents are yellow.

4)There are indeed bugs, but the devs are active already 2 patches have been released.

5) Save games are here, appdata is a hidden folder.

*yourPCusername*/AppData/Local/PhantomDoctrine/Saved
1: Yeah, Phantom Doctrin is a Tactical Strategy game. FPS's are in the next ballpark over.

2: Eh, kind of. You can freely spin it around but it only zooms in when you make actions or something happens to my knowledge.

3: No, all documents and loot items are highlighted as you see them. Secret Documents in yellow and loot objects in blue. Though secret documents can be located inside loot objects. (Lockers, safes, boxes, etc.) You will always get something out of it if you get to it first. No duds.

4. Yeah, there are bugs. No game is ever bug free. Only "bug" I have encountered is with Cloud Saveing overwriting my progress. I turned Cloud Saving off and now it works as intended.

5. For Galaxy and Non-Galaxy users the saves are in the AppData's Local folder. People are simply assuming that they are only stored online because they aren't where one would expect them to be. General paranoia and false assumptions. Nothing new. :)
THANK YOU for the replies. I am now going to get the game!! :)

I would wait a bit before getting it. Quite a few issues for now. The devs are on it though.

To late on my part. But I took a chance anyway, because the DEVs were all over it, and seemed very acrtive on the forum, so I wanted to support them. I will probably wait a while before playing.

Thanks to everyone who replied. + for everyone! :)
