Hey guys,
So i've been curious about this game since I was a kid. Decided to take the plunge when I saw it on GOG.
So far my opinion is that it makes pretty much zero sense, and that the puzzle/adventure elements are contrived and lacking any sort of reason. I'm kind of amused by the terrible acting though - and the random horror moments are freaky - so I'm willing to stick with it.
I've reached some sort of impasse in the first chapter. I've spoken with everyone in the office about a billion times, i've had lunch with my gay friend. I've explored the pointless maintenance closet and used my screwdriver on the wall panel. I've also had the hallucination at the computer, and been thrown out of my boss's office for snooping. I have also typed RATBOY into the computer to unlock it, and threatened that asshole bob. I don't know what to do next.
According to the walkthroughs (yes, shame - but when a game makes as little sense as this, what choice do you have?) I have to speak with Therese and then go to the maintenance closet , where she is supposed to come onto me?
I tried selecting her and the icon will not let me talk to her. Likewise, a repeat trip to the maintenance closet does nothing.
Am I missing something?

I've never played this game, but I've watched the first part of the Let's Play posted in the other thread ("The Let's Play That Started It All.")
Have you shown the photos and postcard to your coworkers? That's one action I remember being covered in the video. If you've tried that and it doesn't do anything, you might want to watch the 2nd part of the Let's Play. Going to the closet and hooking up with Therese definitely didn't happen in the first part of the video, but maybe it does in the second.

Also, after you are done with everything, you can "work" on the document unlocked - click on it's title (you'll get the clip of Curtis typing stuff). You'll have to do it several times in a row in the end of the day.
