I think I've run into a glitch or something. After my first endgame run ended with Adrienne's face rearranged, I discovered I forgot to pick up the glass. So, I start the chapter again, and find the glass in the nursery. Only...Adrienne will not pick it up. She'll kneel down, the game pauses for a second, and then she gets back up, leaving it just sitting there. I don't know if I've hit a glitch or something (I started a new game at Chapter 7 thanks to my stupidity with my saves), but I would much rather not play through the entire game again just to get to that one point.

You can start a new game in chapter 7.
After that try picking up the glass again. It does not matter, when you finish the game, you were playing since the beginning, the difference between chapter 6 and chapter 7 items is the crucifix, but there is another way instead of using the crucifix...
I don't know if you want that to be spoiled.
You can still get the brooch in chapter 7 and use it instead of the glass.
EDIT:I bought the game in GOG, for some reason chapter 7 can delete your save game but like I wrote above, you can get the crucifix back there is nothing else lost.

I had no idea you could use the cameo brooch. Huh.

Happened to me quite a few times, I wish I knew why the game does that. Doesn't matter too much since you can restart it and pretty much continue exactly where you left off.

In PDOCO.TXT, it explains "From this point on, your "old" saved game will not exist in the same form anymore. Instead, it will resemble a "saved" movie sequence instead." Weird -- before I read that I thought the deleting thing was a bug, but apparently it is intentional.

According to this doc, if you choose to watch the movie it will replay the chase up until you made a bad decision, and then give you back control so you can make another choice. But for me, I think the chase was too buggy (or it didn't realise when I made bad decisions), because it kept putting me in impossible situations, and randomly deleting some necessary inventory items.
