Hello fellow GoG fans, i need help. I'm going to format my hard drive and make a clean install of Windows 7, and i would like to backup my Phantasmagoria save files to my external hdd. But i can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know? Thank you.

If they are not in the games folder try checking C:\users\(your username)\saved games. It may also be under C:\Users\(your username)\My documents.

Try looking in.
C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files \GOG.com\Phnatasmagoria
The AppData folder may be hidden. If so, go into folder options and tick the checkbox for 'show hidden files, folders and drives'

Thanks for your answers. Unfortunately, i can't find the files. They're not in the "Saved Games" or "My Documents" folder. And the VirtualStore folder is empty :(

Hang on, Phantasmagoria doesn't have saves, only has one save that remembers your last location, and that file it's probably saved in the gamefolder, except i don't know which file it is.
But you can start a new game and begin playing on any chapter. Doesn't that work for you ?

Are you sure you are looking for the correct files they are called PHANTSG.0 and PHANTSG.DIR. On my windows XP install they are just in the main games folder.

I have those files. Those are the save files? They're just 1kb. Well, going to save them on my external hdd. Thanks a lot for your help :)

Yea the small size is because unlike normal adventure game saves that have to save the data of where you are what your doing, whos on screen on it, what position they are in etc. This just saves what fmv screen your on and and I guess what you have in your inventory things like that.

I am on Chapter 7 in Phantasmagoria. I saved my game just before the chase sequence. I eventually quit the chase sequence and was then given an option to continue my saved game. When I click on this all I get is a black screen and it stays black no matter how long I wait. Can anyone please advise on why this is and what to do?
