I was wondering if anyone could help? I downloaded phantasmagoria 2 and every time I try and install it tells me files are corrupt and to download it again. I've done this several times and it still doesn't work. Has anyone had this problem? I'm using a computer with windows 7

Does the file end in .exe? It should be something like "setup_phantasmagoria_2.exe"

I've had the same problem!!I've tried downloading it with the gog downloader and the standard way.I've also noticed that the gb's aren't the same from what it say's the game is to the finished download!!

I'd recommend completely removing everything you've downloaded and try again. If the file ends in .gogDownload, change it to read like setup_phantasmagoria_2.exe

Still have the same problem.File name is correct.When the installer checks files and as soon as its done,i get the error message"files corrupt reinstall files again".I've even tried skipping the file checker part!This is the only game out of 14 i downloaded from gog that i've had a problem with,so i wonder if it isn't something on there end??Has anyone else besides me and mayberrymedic had this problem?? thanks!

One more thing ,where u download the games when it comes up says the download size is 1.7 gb.When i start the download thru firefox it says its 1.3 gb,i tried it thru gog downloader and it downloaded at 1.27 gb. I'm confused!!

I downloaded the file and installed the game without issues. I've attached a pic showing the correct file size.

I would try to download with a different browser and maybe with the Firewall and/or Anti Virus temporarily disabled, don't forget to re-enable those after you're done downloading/testing.

If none of that works you guys will have to contact support as there's always a chance the file went bad somehwere along the pipes and could be messed up at the location you guys are getting it from.

It does end in .exe My download was 1.27 GB using the installer and downloading from thr browser

I am having the same problem, as we speak so to speak, I am trying all of the suggestions from the community to the suggestions on the support page. I am going to try another way into the server and see it that works. If you get it and I don't tell me and I will do the same. GOOD LUCK!

I understand what you mean George. (assuming that is your name) I wrote to them about 4 days ago and still haven't heard anything yet. Maybe GOG needs to charge a little more so than can get more help :)

I have a couple posts on this game and I am still having problems. I have a general question; how do I get to the files if the the program will not work. I can get to the "integrated" part of the set up but then it reads that the files are corrupted and will not load, fine, but how do I get to the files to see if the set up file "ends with .exe . I cannot find any files that I can see to determine anything with in the files themselves. I got a message from the support team that said the "integrity checker" should list the files that are corrupt, but how do I find that information. Simple question for you, but hell for me:)

On the downloader, click on the options button. There it will show you the folder where the downloader stored the files

Namur, I realize where the file is, but it is only the set up file; the one that is reviewed with my "integrator" and it will not dwonload anything except for the "Start Up File". That is all I have, to the best of my knowledge, to deal with. I am using win 7 and maybe that is my ultimate problem - oh I just hat these new operations from Win. It should be simple, but I cannot figure it out:)

Windows7 is definitely not the problem, that's what why i'm using myself.
There's only one file to download for this game, and that file is called: setup_phantasmagoria_2.exe

That is the file you need to download to your PC (using gog's downloader OR your internet browser) in order to be able to install the game.

I attached a screenshot of the properties of the file in question to one of my previous posts. If the size of the file you downloaded does not match the size as seen on the screenshot i attached to the other post that means that for whatever reason the file you have is corrupt.

Usually this can be caused by a few different things, like unstable connections, Anti Virus and/or Firewall and/or UAC messing up the download, etc, but seing how there's other folks complaining about having the same issue there's also a possibility that the file is damaged on the servers at the location you guys are getting it from, and if that's the case that's something only gog support can fix i'm affraid.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, yea, I know what you are talking about. Where you mentioned in your reply that all I need to download is a "setup_phantasmagoria_2.exe" file, ok, how do I get it, how can I find it, it does not download to my computer from GOG; nothing like the file name that you stated in your reply. That is what is frustrating to me, I can not activate, or find any files to do with Phan. 2 except the "Set Up File" and that is it. Sorry, this whole thing is just getting so frustrating, sorry:(
