Does anybody know? Does Protection last the whole combat (or at least until an opposing spell cancels it out), or does it just last for the turn that it's used?

The manual describes the spell's effect (increases the effectiveness of each party member's armor by putting a magic aura around it; Protection 1 for example adds 1 point of effectiveness). But the manual does not state how long the spell lasts for.
