I agree... very disappointed after buying this! For the price, you would think they would have actually worked on and improved the release, at the very least removing the old copy protection!!
Instead, I payed 9 bucks for a POS DOSbox version I already have for FREE...
This company hires coders. The codes for these games are ancient. It SHOULD be simple to bypass the copy protection altogether without breaking the game. Believe me, having to turn to a manual page is NOT "nostalgic"!!
If these games are "rereleased" later, I expect them to be fixed or replaced for everyone who paid for this crap!!!
Halfbaked laziness!!!
Am I glad to have them? Yes ..but is the DOSbox emulator version worth paying for??? Hell no! You can still find it free with other abandonware, in the same condition! Other than saying " it plays on Windows 10", there's not a single improvement or goodie extra to warrant the price. Even as the complete trilogy, I'd place this in the $2.50-3.99 range at best!!
It's a cheap emulator pos, not an improved, or standalone, game!!
And don't get me started on the classic D&D "collections" that I purchased in hardcopy form for less than HALF what's being charged here, AND they came with a thick manual AND all the code wheels!
For the money I spent on games this year, I really expected better from GOG...not just a "rush it out there slapped to an emulator and grab what we can"!
