Hey all, so I played this game on CD back in the 90's and remember it fondly. I recently reinstalled it via the GOG Galaxy and though I am able to play the game, the playable graphics are very very different.

Everything is exactly where it should be, but anything that is "graphic heavy" (I'm cautious to use that phrase on a WIN95 game using a WIN10 platform) IE: Systems showing the planets orbiting their stars, ship movements, main screen with Research Finance Espionage and Fleet shortcuts, and certain screens within those shortcuts; all of these screens are extremely slow and do not represent the expected movements and speed according to the adjustable speed counter (0-6). Even at 6, everything moves so slowly!

I've seen a couple guides in this forum describing ways to fix certain bugs, but I didn't see anything that specifically addressed this issue. As always, I bow to everyone's mighty knowledge.
