Any suggestions for Windows 11 for Pax Imperia fix. The game plays for the most part but the speed is off. If your in the colonizing screen the speed settings 0-6 are the same and it’s very clunky visually. (Very slow)
It is also very hard/laggy to use the mouse to click on ships/worlds. It almost seems like if you are in any other screen speed works correctly (F3,F4,etc). I tried many of the fixes and even tried on a different computer and had same issue. I am using the GOG client for install.

I’ve been playing mark of chaos and it works great.

I have an original cd of the game but looking for any thoughts on how to fix it? I’d like to purchase another copy through GOG so I can play with one of my kids but can’t get it working.

Just more curious if this is a known issue since windows 11 or if I just need to keep tinkering to get it right?

Thank you for your time.

I had to use DXWnd to resolve color pallet and music issues. I'm on win10 and didn't have speed issues, but since it's a wrapper it might also help you resolve you issue?

Hey Sir/Ma'am - what is DXWind?

It's a wrapper which can be used for resolving compatibility issues.
Correct homepage for it right now is on sourceforge and there is a topic 'Guide: how to play Pax Imperia with music, video and 4:3 ratio on win 10' in this forum, where are some instructions.
