was looking up tips for dealing with pirates on steams discussion and it came down to either deal with it or mod the game.

well dealing with it isnt exactly working out since they went from weak small ships with 1 upgrade to 3 fully upgraded cogs that can somehow go into rivers because why not

so i looked for the files they mentioned but couldnt find them in the game's folder or anywhere on my computer. is there a way to mod the gog version the same way as steam?

It worked fine for my disk version of the game which did not include a steam key. I don't have the game via gog.com. I'm sorry but I can't be more helpful.

if anyone else gets the gold version, plz note modding with ini ONLY works in rise of a dynasty and not the basic version of P4 gold. to launch RoaD you need to click the options button next to play on the game's info page and click additional executables.

if anyone happens to know how to make it launch RoaD from the play button instead of basic P4 then i would greatly like to know that.
