macAilpin: I've been accused and found guilty in believing the World is round. Fined.
Fine indeed. I paid it but I still get goods impounded. (Message arrives that I failed to pay the fine at the Loan Office.) Is this a bug or am I still getting screwed around by my rivals?
Either way how much would I need to pride the local big shot (Skram) to clean the matter up.
Thanks
Bob
A lot of players think regular praying prevents these accusations, regular bathing the other one that I fail to remember right now. Hard to prove either way, weekly is the frequency that gets recommended.
The fine depends on your company value, which can be muuuuch higher than your cash, so appearantly you did not pay the fine but let the day approach when it got collected automatically and your money wasn't enough so goods were used. Check with the money lender to see if there is still some left to pay, otherwise they come back for your cash and goods in a few days. Settle these on your own if you can, its a reputation drop each time they have to collect it and moreso if it fails like in your case.
50.000-70.000 are said to be enough no matter your CV, it seems to be a cap so could be much lower if you just started this game. The bathers have three messages, an offended "so little?", something noncommittal and an enthusiastic "I'm all yours" so you at least know after the fact. Make sure there is no other bribable event coming up before they decide your fine, otherwise he votes there instead, its always on the next occassion. Figure out the "enough" with some save/load if you want to avoid the fine, for this one its obviously too late. Bribery does not get saved, so continue playing until a decision is reached without reloading, or your bribe is forgotten!
If you get accused of something worse than rumours, like piracy, you even need to find two bath guests, but for flat earth one should be enough usually.
