I'm the bachelor, day one. I'm at the point where isador I think his name is, has been murdered now, and I have absolutely no clue where to go now it didn't give me a location to anything.

There's the quest log with only the basic information, you can check the map to see whether there's anything circled on it (your next objective), and in any case pay closer attention to the dialogue. If in journal there's an asterisk (*) in front of your objective, then it's completed. In that case, you can look around for sidequests, scrounge for supplies or go to bed. You'll receive your new quest of the day the next day at 7:00.

It's important that you finish each quest of the day.

There's a bunch of houses circled and with hands on them. I've talked to everyone that I can think of but can't get any further.

But is there an asterisk next to the quest of the day in your quest log? If not, see the official walkthrough that comes with the game extras to see what else you need to do.
