I'm interested in buying this game and it's season passes but i can't help but feel unease about all this spyware talk...so i'm sorry if this was asked before but is this safe?

If you aren't talking about a multiplayer game or some other kind of game that requires external record-keeping (like for achievements etc.) then it is quite simple to make your game safe: just add rules to disallow the right to pass through your firewall for all of the exe's for the game in question. Done.
