I downloaded and installed the game, along with the Kickstarter backer DLC which was supposed to give a "special in-game item" called an Arcane Signet. But I don't see any such item in my inventory when I create a new character. Is it something you're supposed to purchase in-game from a merchant?

You will find all of the pre order / Kickstarter items, located in the trunk (Personal Chest) at the foot of your bed, when you wake up in the Defender's Heart Tavern, after completing the climb out of the shield maze quest at the beginning.
