Does anybody know how to get your bonded item? It isn't in your start inventory.

Found the solution after a day: you do not actually get an item, but get an option in the spellbook tab above the quickbar that works like spells with options like protection from alignment - would have been nice to drop a hint about that mechanic somewhere in game, preferably at the point whee you choose bonded item. grrr.
