blackshoe18: Started this on my current playthrough shortly after it appeared on the map. I was only able to go down four levels. Further progress is blocked. I understand this is how it's supposed to work, and that at some later point I'll be able to go further. The question is whether I'll get some kind of notification in-game that more progress is possible, or do I just have to check back periodically to see what's up?
Pangaea666: The game will inform you when it's possible to go further. It's done with a popup note in Kingdom Management. Something like "the shroud of darkness has receded and it's possible to go further" or something to those words. It happens when you complete certain chapters.
The kingdom management notification is not quite enough.
You must wait a day or so after getting that notification until the
quest journal update, and THEN you can actually get through the barrier. If you go as soon as you get the kingdom management alert telling you to do it, it'll still be blocked! I was getting so frustrated trying to find the answer to this, so I thought I'd leave this update here in case someone else runs into this problem.
