Ive visited the ruined watch tower and found the old dwarf statue that apparentlyhas some loots in it. You need 3 'keys' to open it up. I've found two in that area but not the third. Is it in that area or somewhere else?

yes. its all in the same area.
one on the guy with the letter. the second one at the magic rock. the third one i am not completly sure, but i guess, on the left bottom, behind the trolls or so.

The third key is in the chest in the ruined tower itself. It requires a storybook event to reach the chest. But the storybook doesn't get you the key in itself - it just moves the chest to the reachable part of the tower. After that you need to loot it manually. At least that was the key I had the most trouble getting - I thought the event had given it to me and didn't loot the chest manually.

^^ i am playing about 99% of the time with pressed tab-buttoms. I´ve seen the box the moment it was there.

Me too, but the story event is confusing. When you get to the chest in the story event, it says you find the key. But the key doesn't go into your inventory. Instead the chest warps from the top of the tower to the bottom and you need to loot it manually from there.
