I just watched Jaethal die in the House at the Edge of Time. How did she permanently die anyway?! If I don't vent a bit, I don't know if I can finish the game.
I really, really wanted to see Jaethal's evil and alive ending slide. I thought I supported her throughout the game: letting her raise that girl as undead, taking the secret of immortality from what's her face, supporting her pursuit of pleasure and using her daughter's body as a new vessel. Still not enough.
To be fair, I was very supportive of Tristian too. He got his wings back.
Why couldn't Owlcat have written four endings to the Tristian-Jaethal story? Both alive and good. One killing the other and vice versa. And one where they are locked in immortal kombat until I show up, if I supported both to the utmost. If I pass a skill check, maybe a high persuasion or neutral-only check, I can stop them. If not, they kill each other. That would have been much more satisfying to me who walks the balance of the Force.
Instead, now I kind of hate Tristian. And I really liked him before.
