1. Start a new game from a fresh install --> get a refund and buy on Steam.
2. Find the missing patch somewhere else (torrent?).
If starting fresh from a new download is the only option GoG will provide, I might as well do it on Steam. I won't support a platform that won't support me.

OP, you might get a beeter experience with steam (and that's a service I don't usually recommend). I usually redownload the game again once it has been through a few patches, but twice the installers for Pathfinder have turned out to be corrupt, with a very slow response from customer support.
I had no issues with other games purchased from gog, but for whatever reason their support for PK has been terrible so far.
