I've been looking at buying this for a while now and with the sale it seems like the perfect time to dive in.

With a £10 price difference just what exactly is the difference between what i get with each option?

Please note that I only care about ingame content as everything else is something i would never want or use.

For your purposes, the difference is that with the Imperial edition you get 2 new portraits, a panda pet and, most importantly, the season pass for the first 3 DLCs. Other stuff included is not in-game stuff.

Efficiency-wise explorer+season pass is better. Whatever in-game bonuses from editions won't matter much a few hours into the game and you most likely will end up with a custom portrait-pack anyways.
