Hi there guys :)
just a few words of appreciation for the introduction of turn based mode :)
the "real time" mode was cool, no question about it, but I honestly *love* the turn based version!
TY OwlCats!!

Credit to Hsinyu for creating a mod that first implemented this (which I only got a few weeks with before the official version dropped), but it completely changed the game for me.

The turn-based combat is a far more enjoyable experience and now I have both the time and control to make the most of my party members abilities and skills in combat (I've found myself delving into the PnP mechanics on D20pfsrd.com to figure out how things work).

It is a game with detailed and complex mechanics IMO, and I feel that the turn-based mode grants the opportunity to see and appreciate how they function behind the scenes, as they play out round-by-round.

Very good stuff, thanks Owlcat!

I have the same feelings! :) The turn-based mode is awesome by itself, but even better is the fact that you can switch between real-time and turn-based modes on the fly. It's one of the best features that I've seen in games. It's very rare however. The last game in which I saw this, was Arcanum. The combat is very enjoyable with this feature!

I just restarted the game so I could try the turn based mode and it has really opened up a new world for me. The only part that grates a bit is that you can't seem to "ready an action" like having spearmen prepare to attack advancing enemies. I wish Temple of Elemental Evil actually worked on a regular basis, or that Knights of the Chalice implemented reach, so it isn't like this game is alone in having flaws.

I still appreciate the inclusion of the feature.
