Sorry for the late answer and thanks both of you for your help.

Firstly, I tried to set everything I could to manually select my active device, instead of default settings. The result is in the picture shown: no sound from the game in the app tab in pavucontrol (though my music player is shown ... playing)

Secondly, I blacklisted everything but the active sound card in "/etc/pulse/default.pa" as in [url=]https://linuxiumcomau.blogspot.com/2017/10/fixing-broken-hdmi-audio.html[/url]. Same result.

Apparently, no sound is coming from the game...

Another thought: did you update from 2.05c or fresh install of 2.0.6 (I don't see any update script from the download page, though) ?

There are no update scripts for linux, so the only options is full installation.

On the topic, does something changes pavucontrol picture changes once Kingmaker.exe window receives focus?
