Ok.. so I am stumped and I dont know if I am just not figuring this out, or its a bug.

I am in the first world following the evil seed quest line, and talked to everyone/everything. I figured out the lamp in walking through boundaries, but then teleporting with some not using the lamp. Saw several cut scenes with the goddess memories, found the salty/tears pond, found a bird I can pick up, fought everything and cleared I think the entire map.

I found the everblooming flower, and when you cut it down it grows back.

And... nothing else.

What am I missing?

Ok.. I found the solution though it is anything but obvious.

Put the bird in the cage you can pick up on the rock (storage spot in the middle of the map)
Rest using the Gnomes campfire and go back to the rock
Collect the bird bones, then throw them into the pond.
Then go the everblooming flower for a new option of poisoning it with a vile of the water.

Fight.. win.. move on.

It's like they actually expect players to have to think just a little bit to figure things out. How dare they?

That's the problem with random riddles. You're not expected to simply think. You are expected to view things as the developer. And the few people who figured it out on their own , instead of helping, will behave like holier-than-thou geniuses.

My problem was that I was unable to interact with the pond. I had to restart the game. Of course it doesn't help that the hand "interaction" icons require you to comb the screen with your mouse pointer to be found, so I didn't think it was a glitch, I thought I either couldn't find the tiny icon once again or that it didn't exist and the solution was elsewhere.

So, for those who are stuck: hold tab. The game won't tell you about this, but holding tab reveals clickable items. Not only the game will glitch and occasionally not show these icons until you reboot, but for this pond, you can ONLY interact with its icon by holding tab. It remains invisible without this trick.

..."think just a little bit to figure this out"... This isn't a fantasy riddle, this is a keyboard shortcut riddle. This game broke itself for difficulty.

I consider the whole Pathfinder: Kingmaker experience as a functional literacy test in the form of a game. Most of the Westerners, predictably, failed it. You will not see that amount of whining on Russian forums.

You should visit steam forums russian tab. It's some quality goldmine of whines. It has nothing to do with westerners and whatnot. It's just the modern games conditioned players to skip dialogues, not pay attention to environments and to not read journal. The moment they see a game that doesn't feature quest markers - they are lost. Plus there is a certain % that just has different thinking patterns that can't be accounted for.

Different people like different sorts of games. People who like searching for pixels tend to prefer adventure games. People who do not, might like rpgs more.

what pixel-hunting has to do with the topic at hand?

Settings -> Controls -> "Highlight objects" -> TAB

Can be changed to some other, more convenient key.

Oh, stop whining.
Actually really liked this quest. And you get fairly precise advice if you ask the gnome for a summary.

At first I didn't understand we had to rest there, but then that caused me problem because I am really restrictive with stuff like that. Once I did that, everything worked itself out.

Opening the last door in one of the dungeons was a bit more frustrating tbh. Not a big fan of mechanics like that, because it tends to be lots of trial and error as opposed to logically figuring it out.
