I tried to request dev help, and all I got was: "oh sorry, the devs moved on"

Because ofc, if I check the entirety of steam threads, gog threads and reddit threads... I am ofc the only one complaining about constant crashes.

Dirty devs...

I wish I could even give some clear indication of what happens, but it's pretty simple.

I try to level up? Game freezes
I idle about in some zone while grabbing a coffee? PC resets
I read the dialogue between some characters? Game freezes and crashes

Now if this were only one PC, I mean... sure "hardware, can you try this and that?"
But no... this happens on my gaming PC, happens on my laptop, on both Linux & Windows
Crashes when I run it over a VM
Crashes on the Steamdeck
Crashes on my Xbox

Did you hire Murphy to build this thing or what?
If it can crash, it will crash at the worst time possible, in the most annoying way and in a way that WILL damage your hardware.

What gives?

Any ETA? I mean... it's only been 5 years... I suppose I ought to be patient and wait for the next bug fix

Kingmaker will not get any fixes. The developer switched publishers from Prime Matter to META Publishing and no longer has the rights to the game.
